Hi everyone,
Yesterday, I shared about the cast of characters inside my head. If you haven’t read the post yet, you can do so here.
I’m guessing you may have some questions about this one. So, this week’s chit-chat is a choose-your-own-adventure. You can either:
Ask me a question about the characters or the process of developing them
OR
Share one of your characters!
I would love to hear about your stories. Remember, there is no judgment here. Characters do not need any justification to exist. They just are.
Thank you for participating in this space. I can’t wait to hear from you. Enjoy the chit-chat!
Cheers,
This blog is a space where I share about following my knowing. I offer weekly antidotes as a provocation and invitation. May these stories act as a gateway for you to explore your own. If you value the content, please consider becoming a paid subscriber. It helps me know my work is valued and supports the time it takes to keep writing. Thanks!

Lately Hypochondriac Harriet... Seems someone is always sick. She stays bundled in a blanket at least 5 feet from people drinking EmergenC and yelling at everyone to wash with soap for at least 20 seconds. Then there is Panicking Penelope because well... Anxiety is a real thing and sympathetic nervous system exists on a hair trigger these days (thanks thyroid) and when both characters collaborate life is a real fun rabbit whole 😄
I just loved this blog and exercise! Here are two of mine:
Martha the Fixer - Martha wants to maintain peace. She wants to assure everyone’s comfort. She likes preparing meals for everyone, always nodding to foods they particularly love. She acts as go-between when people disagree. She honors harmony (even in actual singing).
Tiny Susie - baby sister from a modest but privileged family, Tiny Susie sort of expects everyone to see to her needs. She is surprised and a bit uncomfortable when she has to take on the true adult role in a situation. That feels unfair somehow. She expects appreciation for her many talents. She can be pouty.
I isolated seven characters who live in my head, but chose these two because they are so different from one another and so at war with one another at times.
A very interesting exercise, thank you!
