Hi everyone,
Yesterday, I shared about my inability to decide what to order from a menu. It was a bout of decision fatigue. If you haven’t read the post yet, you can do so here.
For this week’s chit-chat, I’m curious to know:
- What decisions can you skip out on this holiday season?
Sometimes simple is better. So, what tasks could you either outsource or just plain stop doing this holiday? I can’t wait to hear your ideas. Enjoy the chit-chat!
Cheers,

I forgot to answer my own post! So here goes. Every year I hold out hope for putting up Christmas lights. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. But I always have it in the back of my head as a "should." This year, I'm just eliminating the shame and owning the energy saving no light look.
I'm giving up some of the decisions on where to put my Christmas decorations. Specifically, I have embraced the art of thanking things for their service and releasing them. I donated a lot of Christmas stuff this year that I actually don't like and now I don't have to make a decision about where to put it. For example, my aunt (who has been gone 10 years) used to give me Santa stuff. I'm not a Santa fan. So I donated the Santa stuff. I'm learning that giving things away, even if someone special gave them to me, is not dishonoring. It's been very freeing. And now I have less stuff to put away in January!
